Object of this scheme is to provide
an opportunity to the jobseeker or the semi-skilled
graduate from ITI/ ITC to get on-the-job training as
an apprentice in an industrial environment having production/
service based activities. ITI pass candidates who join
the Apprenticeship Training Scheme are also eligible
to get rebate of training period in accordance with
their ITI trade and the apprenticeship trade so selected
by them. The rates of stipend payable to the apprentice
under this scheme are:

Presently, more than 25,000 seats have been allotted
in over 5000 Industrial Establishments in Gujarat under
this scheme. Subject to availability of vacancy, jobseekers
can join as apprentice during any of the two admission
sessions i.e. starting from 1st February to 15th April
and from 1st August to 15th October every year. On completion
of apprenticeship training, All India Apprentice Trade
Test is conducted and Central Apprenticeship Council
(CAC) issues certificates to the successful candidates.
Under this scheme the establishments provide very valuable
opportunity to the jobseeker in obtaining the skills.
Therefore, it is equally important that the industrial
establishment updates the information on vacant seats
available under this scheme regularly. Using the passwords
provided by the local exchanges, the industrial establishments
could now submit this information directly on this web
site or seek assistance from the nearest Rojgar Sahay
