The
main objectives of craftsman training scheme are:
1. To ensure a steady flow of skilled workers in different
trades for industry.
2. To raise the quality and the quantity of industrial
production by systematic Training of workers.
3. To reduce unemployment among the educated youth
by equipping them for suitable industrial employment.
Training curriculum norms for building, machinery,
and trainer are prescribed by National Council for Vocational
Training for national level curses where as for State
Level courses such norms are prescribed by Gujarat Council
of Vocational Training.
Duration of the Courses offered are 1year to 2years
and entry qualification are from 7th pass to 12th pass.

along with sanctioned seats, duration and entry qualification
are be appended at annexure-1.
